What is NAGAR Inc.?
NAGAR (Nagar Association of Greater American Regions) is a non-for-profit
association serving the Nagar community worldwide. NAGAR was born on
July 4, 1998 at the Nagar Convention in Chicago. A group of volunteers
sponsored a town hall meeting discussion at the convention and presented a
framework for establishing a formal association. There was overwhelming support
for NAGAR.
NAGAR is founded on the following four principles:
To provide:
- Forum to help Nagars
- Forum for resource sharing among local Nagar chapters
- Tools for on-going communication among Nagars related to
cultural, social and other related issues
- Centralized repository of information

World Nagar Convention 2008
The Nagar Mandal of Greater Chicago will be hosting the
Nagar convention in 2008.
You can see all the details,
including the amantran video and the registration
form in our special convention section.
This is also the occasion of the
NAGAR Decennial Celebration 1998-2008.
