What is NAGAR Inc.?
NAGAR (Nagar Association of Greater American Regions) is a non-for-profit
association serving the Nagar community worldwide. NAGAR was born on
July 4, 1998 at the Nagar Convention in Chicago. A group of volunteers
sponsored a town hall meeting discussion at the convention and presented a
framework for establishing a formal association. There was overwhelming support
for NAGAR.
NAGAR is founded on the following four principles:
To provide:
- Forum to help Nagars
- Forum for resource sharing among local Nagar chapters
- Tools for on-going communication among Nagars related to
cultural, social and other related issues
- Centralized repository of information

Nagar convention in 2008.
