Shri Kamendubhai Vasavada of Chicago passed away on Nov 22 2009

It is with grief and much sadness, we share the news that Kamendubhai Vasavada left on his heavenly abode while visiting with his son Neel in California on Sunday. Kamendubhai was very active member of our community and worked diligently during our 1998 Nagar Convention. He contributed to our society in many ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family – wife Jagrutiben, son Neel, and daughters Hemal and Reena.

Kamendubhai Vasavada’s funeral will be in California later this week.

There will be a Walk-in Visitation on Sunday, November 29th, 2009 between 2PM and 7PM at their residence in Palatine, IL. Their house address is 1051, Bombay Way, Palatine, IL

Ushaben Kharod passed away in Maryland on November 24 2009

Shrimati, Mu. Ushaben Kharod passed way on November 24 2009 in Maryland, USA. Ushaben was the wife of the late Vilasrai Kharod. She is survived by her two sons, Chetan and Dhaval and their wives Falguni and Sudha along with grandchildren.

NAGAR extends its deepest sympathies to the Kharod family.

Dr.Sharadchandra Purushottamrai Desai passed away on September 10, 2009 in India

With sadness, sorrow and shock I have to announce sudden demise of my beloved Mama.

Dr.Sharadchandra Purushottamrai Desai took sudden departure at the age of 70. He suffered massive heart-attack on September 10, 2009 at Visavadar, Junagadh Dist. while consulting patients at his clinic. Dr. Desai was very active in the society and medical profession and touched so many lives. He was connected with many educational, social and religious organization, was the president of local college and trustee of Blind Women Institution at Visavadar.

He was predeceased by his wife Ushadevi and survived by son Dr.Jaimini Desai, Rajkot and daughters Archana (Shihor), Amita (Vadodara), Kamal (Saudi Arabia) and brothers Prof.Yogendra P. Desai and Architect Yeshwant P. Desai and three sisters.

He will be remembered for ever by his patients and the community for his service, philanthropy and also by family for his love and inspiration.

We pray ALMIGHTY for eternal peace to the departed Soul.

Kokilaben Pravinbhai Jhala passed away for heavenly abode on August 20, 2009 in Amdavad, India

Our mother Mu. Kokilaben Pravinbhai Jhala, 83, wife of Mu. Shri Pravinbhai Dolatrai Jhala, sister of Mu. Shri Bipinbhai Nanavaty (Maryland, USA), left for heavenly abode last week. Shradhanjali will be on Friday, August 28th, 2009 at Gajjar Hall, opposite Law Garden, Amdavad between 5PM and 7PM.

Lalitchandra Bhatt, 94, passed away on July 2, 2009 in Knoxville, TN, USA

Lalitchandra Bhatt of Vallabh Vidyanagar passed away on July 2, 2009 at Knoxville, TN, USA. He was 94. He is survived by sons Vinay Bhatt (Knoxville, TN), Mandar Bhatt (Richmond, VA), daughters – Daksha Pandya (Chicago, IL), Gita Jani (Plymouth Meeting, PA) and Kirti Mupo (West Palm Beach, FL), nephew Nitin Bhatt(Laurel, MD), a sister Kumudben Bhatt (Rajkot, Gujarat, India) and a large family of his sons, daughters, and grandchildren. His wife Damayantiben was passed away in June 2008. The funeral services was held on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Knoxville, TN.

On behalf of Nagar community, NAGAR express the heartfelt condolences to his large family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of sorrow. May his soul rest in peace.

Shri Maheshchandra Mahendraray Desai passed away on 21st March 2009 at Rajkot. He was son of Late Prof.M.G.Desai and Late Smt.Adrilattaben Desai.
