      We are very sorry to inform you that Dr. Harshidaben Ramubhai Pandit, renowned author and well known psychologist, has passed away in Bombay on Feb. 27th, 2012 at the age of 84.  She was in poor health, following a recent hip surgery.  She was the keynote speaker at the first National NAGAR Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 1996.  She will be remembered for many literary contributions, independent and trail blazing thinking, futuristic and leadership role for many social causes.  She will be sorely missed by the Pandit family, many relatives and vast circle of professionals &amp; friends and many organizations in India and abroad.   

She is survived by her son, Ashit Ramu, (Shirley) of San Diego, California, and her younger son, Pranav (Pete), (Blanca, and Grandson Emilio Aditya) of Tijuana, Mexico.

      <![CDATA[It is with deep sorrow we share the news that our <em>Mama</em> (maternal uncle) <strong>Brijenbhai Mehta </strong>(71) passed away this morning at Sterling Hospital Ahmedabad. He had a cardiac arrest.
 
He is survived by his wife Bharti Mehta, and two children son Swroop Mehta and daughter Viswaja Majmudar, Son-in-law Hardik Majmudar and a grand child Vedika Majmudar.
 
Brijenbhai had a long career in Akashwani Ahmedabad. He was the radio announcer in Vividhbharti Ahmedabad from where he retired.
 
He was a great poet writing gujarati poems under the name of Shabnam and good singer (Voice of Mohmmed Rafi) and a great communicator and had passed his MA (Arts) from Saurashtra University.

      <![CDATA[<strong>Dr. Varshabahen Vaishnav</strong> of Bartonsville, Pennsylvania, 57 years, a scientist at Sanofi Pasteur Pharmaceuticals, Allentown, Pennsylvania Area seriously injured on her way back to home with her parents and her long time friend when her car was hit by another car near Philadelphia on September 8, 2010.  Her mother <strong>Niranjanaben </strong>(Nenu), 88 years, died on the spot while her seriously injured father <strong>Vinayakrai Vaishnav</strong>, 95 years, died on September 21, 2010.  Her friend has been released and Varshaben has been moved out of ICU after 12 days.  She is in stable condition and recovering in the hospital.

      He is survived by his beloved wife Ketaki, daughter Ushma, son-in-law Kunal Mehta, brother Alakesh Pandit, sister Daxa Mehta, mother Dharmisthaben Pandit and their family. He died of stomach cancer. He was 60. 

Funeral service is arranged on Sunday June 27, 2010 in Ahmedabad, India.
