Mauli’s big day
Over the weekend, Bappi Lahiri invited his favorite Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 contestant Mauli Dave (from Gujarat) to his house.
Bappida had Neetu Kapoor, Rakesh Roshan, Jitendra, Randhir Kapoor over for dinner.
Neetu mentioned that she had started watching the Zee show after she heard the song Maiyya Maiyya being rendered by Mauli.
Bappida, being the man with the big heart was suddenly very excited since Mauli belongs to his gharana.
So he called her and asked her if she could join them for dinner. An overwhelmed Mauli went over to Bappida’s house and had dinner with the people she had only so far ‘heard’ about.

Mauli Dave's outstanding performance last night in the first round of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Challenge 2007" music competition touched the heart of all the music gurus judging her performance and the rock the audience. She secured her place in music director Bhapi-da's team by defeating one of her rival from USA.
All the music gurus which are the judges for the competition of the show rushed to greet her on the stage after her performance and openly appreciated her outstanding performance, and blessed her for her very bright future in the industry.

I was awake till your turn came for singing. Usually I go to bed around 10.30 PM but I came to know about your selection in Sa.Re.Gam.Pa.
You were singing with confidence on stage. Your voice is excellant(Asha Bhosle). song was totally new for me but was real good.
I also like singing on Karaokee (mostly old songs of Kishore kumar). I was much impressed by
your singing. Keep it up !!!

I'm really surprised that such a huge talent is so unassuming and humble. I read that this 19yr old kid took part in 'NRI Antakshari'!!! Gawd. She was lucky that Annu KApoor has a good ear for music and recognized the potential in Mauli and even acknowledged it. Otherwise, all respectable singers should stay miles away from antakshari programmes. This kid has an awesome voice and can sweep you off your feet with her singing prowess. God bless you girl and rest assured you're soon gonna make people forget all the Britneys and Madonnas. You, very likely, are a reincarnation of one of those jazz/soul singers of the past. let me tell you that mouli is not at all talented because she can sing only one type of songs and in every song the mayaa mayya touch is seen when she sang tall se taal mila she was the worst i hope mouli loses please do not vote for her as she can not be different she tries to be that but fails every time two of the good singers of sa re ga ma pa has been rejected for they competed with this stupid ugly mouli.........

Mauli is good and there is no doubt about it..but there are lot of other better singers out there..I hope, wish and pray may be the best one will win. If mauli wins the show, it would be unfair to better singers out there..so please dont pray "god hatkesh" to make her winner..instead pray GOD that the best one wins!!

i m aayush from delhi. i m just crazy abt u its like i m simply crazy. i loved ur performances some of them went down but from last 2 performances u have picked it up again keep it going. Infact read abt ur interests like dancing, painting, tenniss i also loves all these things and i m also a dancer performed on stage also. keep up the good show and sing with adda that u have i live ur expressions and energy simply rocking.

Hi Mauli. I am an overseas resident and a Dave too. Have been seeing ur performances and can only say you have performed very well in that genre that best suits you. You have lots of potential! Saw the last episode of your elimination and felt very bad for you, but can say this from the bottom of my heart, that you are an all rounder and a person like you have trillions of options open to you. From your expressions, "adaa", performance it looks like, the stage of music is very SMALL for you. Of course you do excel in the field of music, but you should also try your luck in gujarati dramas staged in mumbai and worldwide, tv series, cause people all over the world have started knowing you and feel you are a part of their everyday life. I was awake till your turn came for singing. Usually I go to bed around 10.30 PM but I came to know about your selection in Sa.Re.Gam.Pa.
You were singing with confidence on stage. Your voice is excellant(Asha Bhosle). song was totally new for me but was real good.
I also like singing on Karaokee (mostly old songs of Kishore kumar). I was much impressed by
your singing. Keep it up !!!
